Real World InformationEdit
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat is an American supersonic, twin-engine, two-seat, twin-tail, variable-sweep wing fighter aircraft. The Tomcat was developed for the United States Navy's Naval Fighter Experimental (VFX) program after the collapse of the F-111B project. The F-14 was the first of the American teen-series fighters, which were designed incorporating air combat experience against MiG fighters during the Vietnam War.

In the GamesEdit
The F-20 first appeared in the Arcade version of U.N. Squadron, where it serves as Mickey Simon's fighter of choice. It appeared again in Carrier Air Wing as Rick Ford's fighter of choice. On both games it is the fastest ship available, being specialized in air-to-air combat and having minimal air-to-ground weapons available.
On the SNES version of U.N. Squadron the F-14 can be purchased with $300000. It is the fastest ship available, being faster than even the F-200 Efreet, having a maximum firepower of 5.
